50' Brass Airslide Covered Hopper Kit.
A beautifully detailed brass etched kit, complete with roller bearing type trucks, decals (your choice of: Eva. I.C.G., G.T.W. & Conrail).  Complete instructions and a list of 12 other Micro Scale decals that are appropriate for this kit.  The kit lacks only paint and couplers.  The modeler should have some experience with soldering.  Imported item- please allow 4 to 8 weeks for delivery.



40' Steel Box Car Kit.
Parts are cast in Urethane, highly detailed, including under body detail, rivet detail and molded in ladders, grab irons and steps.  Decals, trucks, and couplers are not included.

40' Steel Double Door (Auto) Car Kit.
Parts are cast in Urethane, highly detailed, including under body detail, rivet detail and molded in ladders, grab irons and steps.  Decals, trucks, and couplers are not included.

40' Steel Sided Reefer Car Kit.
This car is based on a rebuild of the 1940's and 1950's.  Made of cast Urethane and highly detailed including under body detail, molded in ladders, grabs irons, and steps.  It also has excellent rivet detail and a modern roof walk.  Kit is easy to assemble.  Decals, trucks, and couplers are not included.

40' Wood Sided Reefer Car Kit.
This car is also based on a rebuild of the 1940's and 1950's.  Made of cast Urethane and highly detailed including under body detail, molded in ladders, grabs irons, and steps.  This kit has a wooden style roof walk.  Kit is easy to assemble.  Decals, trucks, and couplers are not included.

This next series of photographs are of my 55 Ton Rib-sided Twin Hopper car kit introduced in February 2001.  The design of the car originated in the 1930s with The Norfolk & Western and was copied by many of the other coal haulers.  The cars were in operation from the late 1930s through the 1960s.  (See Railroad Model Craftsman, November 1982).  The model is comprised of Urethane castings.  The model has good rivet and brake detail.  Decals, trucks, and couplers are not included.  The retail price of the kit is $10.00 plus $2.00 shipping per car with a maximum shipping charge of $5.00.  Payment can be made by check, money order or Paypal.  Coastal Engineering, P.O. Depressed Center Flat Car.
Brass etched kit with wood decking manufactured by Ingo Schwaetzer.  The sides are solid brass and the remainder of the kit is etched brass.  The kit includes COASTAL betttendorf trucks.  The kit only lacks paint, decals and couplers.
